I need organization in my life. I need to know what I am going to be doing and when I have to do it. I love a schedule but sometimes I can get overwhelmed with the amount of things I have going on. I need to go to the grocery store, pick up my target drive up order, workout, get work done, and probably 10 more things I need to do all around Ryan's schedule. Life can get overwhelming but I like to take precautions so it doesn't get to the point of overwhelming as often. These are some of my tips to keep things organized and get done what needs to be done.

This is so important if you have a lot of things going on. I use Google Calendar and share my calendar with Payton so we can figure out what we both have going on. If you're not good at putting things in to your phone pick up a planner, like this one, to have everything written down and ready to go. Either way it's important to have your day/week scheduled out. Payton likes to update his calendar every Sunday and I input something whenever I know about it.

Make a list

Make a list of what you need to get done and find places to fit those things into your schedule. Then when you finish those things you get to cross it off your list (thats the best part, right?). Try this cute to do list or this perfect day planner.

This is also so important. Sometimes there is no possible way to get everything you need to done in one day. Having too much on your list can be just as overwhelming than having no list at all. So take a look at your list, pick out the most important tasks and do those first. Save the least important things for another day.

Create a Routine

Creating a routine will help you feel more organized in the long run. With a baby we have a built in routine; wake up at seven, feed the baby, eat breakfast, baby naps, we work, baby eats again, and so on. Having a routine really helps when tying to schedule the rest of my day. When you have a schedule you have a more realistic idea of how much time you have and what you can get done.

Ask for help

Don't be afraid to ask for help. If I have a thousand and one things to get done, I know I need to ask for help. Theres no shame in asking for help here and there. Life gets overwhelming and sometimes you just need a little help.
