It's summertime, which means it's much warmer and you probably should be drinking more water. For some its simple thats all you may drink, for others its a little bit harder. Staying hydrated is so important for your heath, so I'm sharing my tips for drinking more water and staying hydrated.

Get a reusable water bottle.... or 2

This is definitely the #1 way I manage to stay hydrated. I have a couple reusable water bottles that I take with me everywhere. Find a cute one that you'll want to take with you! I like to have more than one so if I leave one in the car theres still one in the house.

Flavor your water

So maybe you don't really like the taste of water (yes it has a taste, no I cant explain it). Flavor your water with fruit! You could make lemon water, cucumber water, citrus water or really whatever you want! There are even water bottles that have a fruit infuser in them!

What if I don't want water?

If you would rather not drink water thats fine, just try and drink something without sugar! So go for an unsweetened tea or maybe a sports drink with no added sugar.

Keep a pitcher of water in the fridge

Theres nothing better than some ice cold glass of water on a hot day. I like to keep a pitcher of water in the fridge so its always nice and cold. You can get a pitcher with a filter or a cute one to match your homes style.

Sound the alarm

If you really can't remember to drink water, remind yourself! Set an alarm on your phone to remind yourself every hour to drink a glass of water.

Start your morning off right

Okay, I get it, I like to start my morning off with a nice hot cup of coffee too, but try to fit in a glass of water or two in the morning. Maybe alternate water, coffee, water or water, water, coffee. Whatever works for you just try to drink some water when you get up to start your day off right.

Track it

If you cant remember how much water you drink through out the day track it! There are apps like, Water Reminder or Daily Water, where you can easily track how much water you drink through out the day.

Put it throughout the house

Place water bottles in every room you spend time in. It might sound silly but you're more likely to drink more water if theres a bottle in the room you're sitting in instead of downstairs in the kitchen. I usually keep one next to the bed and one in the kitchen/living room.

Eat your water

Try eating foods with a high water content. You can eat things like cucumbers, watermelon, tomatoes, spinach, oranges, apples and so much more. Make a fresh fruit salad on a hot day!

Sparkle Sparkle

Enjoy some sparkling water. If you enjoy a nice sparkling water then sparkle it up! Theres nothing wrong with that, its still water!
